Schots en scheef

Scheef is het misschien niet, maar wel Schots. Ik kan zeker niet alle ins en outs van de Britse verkeerswetgeving, maar een bord waarop met grote letters "No parking" staat interpreteer ik toch als een plaats waar je niet mag parkeren. Of zou dat wel mogen als je op het voetpad gaat staan?

You MUST NOT park partially or wholly on the pavement in London, and should not do so elsewhere unless signs permit it. Parking on the pavement can obstruct and seriously inconvenience pedestrians, people in wheelchairs or with visual impairments and people with prams or pushchairs.
